Responsible for designing and implementing the branding style for this news/media company. Created style sheets — including editorial page layouts, advertorials and specialty publications and supplements. As the art director, I constantly elevated the look of the paper by updating styles and adapting new content. As a hands-on production manager, I was responsible for getting over 1250 issues (average 52 pages) of this newspaper to press on tight deadlines. I oversaw the contents of the publication uploaded onto the jweekly website, created digital newsletters, banner ads and social media art.

Designed print and digital advertising. Collaborated with account executives in designing and producing advertising campaigns, sales sheets, media kits and marketing collateral. Brainstormed with the development director to design and write fundraising material. Designed social media art, banner ads, e-blasts, e-newsletters and a website that involved numerous landing pages. Uploaded contents of weekly via WordPress and Expression Engine using CSS.

In addition to being lead designer, I photographed people, places and events for weekly covers and editorial articles. I designed and ordered signage, schwag, business cards, letterhead, postcards, posters, invitations and special event items.

Art directed and produced yearly magazine Resource: A Guide to Jewish Life in the Bay Area. Designed advertisements and layouts, section heads. Designed Resource website from conception to launch. 

Successfully managed design team of four. Hired outside talent when needed.
